Land Acknowledgement 
Raíces del Saber Xinachtli Community School is located in Doña Ana County in southern New Mexico, a region whose Organ and Franklin Mountains are still known as “The Forest of the Manzos,” the Tampachoa people who welcomed into their territory the Tiwa and Piro peoples in 1680 after the Pueblo Revolt. The region along the Rio Grande River that spans from the edge of El Paso, TX, to Cd. Juarez, Chih, Mex., to Las Cruces, New Mexico, has been the Homeland of These Nations for Centuries.
